One gigantic trend that many firms are welcoming is support of environmentalism in the work place. Except for recycling photocopy paper and plastic water bottles, many corporations are now taking a look at how to integrate ecologically friendly values with gift giving. Biodegradable : The capability to break down, safely and comparatively quickly, by biological means into the raw materials of nature and disappear back to the environment.
"Green" is usually inappropriately used to describe any effort to be more environmentally friendly.
Organic: Products produced according to certain standards. For crops, they must be grown in soil free from standard insecticides, synthetic manure, human waster, or sewage sludge and be processed without ionizing radiation or food additions. For animals, they must be reared without the routine use of antibiotics and without the use of growth hormones. In most nations, organize product should not be genetically altered.
Post-industrial or pre-consumer waste/recycled content : Term used to describe material that is being reused/recycled before it ever goes to market ; or, waste material generated in the producing process.
Recycled cardboard : The material is made from cardboard that has been dropped or once employed by a consumer.
